Claire Baldairon: magic and stones
Claire Baldairon's background is unusual, to say the least: during her degree in business administration, she did an internship in a communications agency, which was a revelation for her. Neglected by the agency's saleswoman, she turned to the graphic designer, who showed her the ropes.

Claire took intensive drawing lessons and then went to art school in Montpellier. She has been a freelance illustrator ever since.
It was the best year of my life. La MAANA was like recess (laughs). You could listen to music, take whatever pencils and paints you wanted, you were told “do what you want” and you experimented.
Today, she's planning to set up her own online boutique for wedding invitations. It's an idea that's close to her heart, as it allows her to combine graphic design and illustration. She doesn't find herself in the current range of wedding invitations and wants to bring a bit of freshness to the scene.
Her influences:

Frida Kahlo, for the symbolism of her paintings

Parisian graphic designer and illustrator Lucille Michieli

KRSNKRSN, illustrator, street artist, who draws a lot with a pen, which inspired him to create his Dreamcatcher board.
My creative universe? There's a lot of femininity, sensitivity, pebbles and magic (laughs).
When she was asked to design a piece of jewelry for Sioou, she'd been interested in temporary tattoos for a while, so she jumped at the chance. For her Blue Birds collection, she chose to feature birds because "it's a feminine motif, but at the same time it has a wild side. If I wanted something on my skin, this would be it".

The most gratifying thing is to see one's drawing carried by someone.
At the same time, she's also getting into silkscreen printing, a long and tedious job, but with a nice result. This is a printing technique that uses stencils inserted between the ink and the substrate to give another dimension to the design.
