The world of Sylvie Blanc Pitance

The world of Sylvie Blanc Pitance

Sylvie is an artist from Lyon and the creator of the Buccolia temporary tattoo set.

- Hello Sylvie, can you tell us how you became an artist?

Drawing and painting have always been obvious to me, a need. Drawing to stop time, time to see things, time to appreciate reality. And also, to draw in order to escape from reality and perhaps find it.

I trained at the Ecole d'Arts Appliqués in Lyon, and continue to take part in live model workshops.

- How would you define your artistic style?

I draw most often from life, i.e. by representing the real model in front of me.

- What do you like best about being an artist?

I like the freedom that comes with sketching. And for me, speed of execution is often essential. In fact, it allows me not to draw or paint necessarily the contours, but what escapes the contour, the movement, the break, the unexpected.

- What did you like about working with Sioou?

I really enjoyed working with Sioou. I was very touched that the team trusted me and guided me in their wishes.

- What was your inspiration for the Buccolia set?

The Buccolia theme is an ode to women, which I think fits in well with our desire to wear a piece of jewelry, even if it's temporary, like flowers...

I drew my inspiration from my garden and the textile designs of the Art Deco period.

- How do you imagine your Buccolia set being worn by women?

I see the BUCCOLIA set being worn by every woman who asserts her femininity.

I imagine it in many different styles:

- country style with long dress, boots and an accumulation of jewels.

- sober elegance with pants and a blouse.

- dressy with a cocktail dress or well-fitted evening gown. "
