Livia Caruso

Livia Caruso is driven by a passion for art and for conveying her world through fine, detailed line. A lover of different media, she combines digital and traditional techniques to tackle subjects that are close to her heart, such as personification, myths and dreams, as well as nature and femininity. She draws much of her inspiration from surrealism and art nouveau, but also from more contemporary artists: painters, photographers, musicians and writers from all horizons, who feed the strong symbolism in her work.

An illustrator for over 12 years, she started out as a teenager with the covers of her sister Telia's first self-published novels. After setting up her own business, she joined the Tibert Editions family with the illustration of classic novels ‘The Portrait of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde in 2020 and ‘Dracula’ in 2022 by Bram Stoker in which she expressed her taste for the fantastic and a darker side to her style. Her collaboration with Sioou began in 2020 with her ‘Animal Totem’ set and has since continued with 3 other sets such as Peonia and La vie est belle, in which ornamental flower compositions sit alongside geometric lines and poetic lyrics. She then took a more introspective approach to her work, personifying emotions with her first oracle, ‘L'Oracle de l'Equilibre & des Emotions’ with author Géraldine Lamuse, published by Éditions Bussières in November 2023. Today she continues to collaborate and work on projects with brands and authors that allow her to explore and express her artistic approach with passion.
