C comme line
A girly, gothic universe, and a quirky tone... These are the drawings of Céline Chabert-Chaverot, an illustrator and graphic designer from Lyon.
In her drawings: colours that go from pink to black without transition, inspiration from games, nature and fairy tales that she revisits with pleasure.
This adventure with Sioou gives her the opportunity to indulge another of her passions: tattooing.
To achieve this ‘watercolour’ look, Céline returned to her first love: paper and watercolour.
Before working in digital, Céline was first and foremost a watercolourist, a technique that gives her creations a ‘poetic’ dimension.
Working on paper is ephemeral and fragile, as she so aptly puts it: ‘one line too many, one mistake and you can do it all over again’.
Her love of paper knows no bounds, and she admits to collecting sketchbooks and pampering her watercolour pencils. She also works from time to time with the Staedtler and Derwent brands.
